LYNWOOD — Living in today’s world, many children are left without good role models to look up to. Going to Craig Williams Elementary, the students are not faced with that problem.
BELLFLOWER — Stacy Tuttle, founder of Campaign for Care introduced to Woodruff Elementary in Bellflower its first ever “Blanket Day” during the school’s Christmas celebration week. Many parents volunteered, along with Stacy’s two sons Jordan (5) and Andrew (10), to help and teach students to make 100 pieces of blankets, all in one day, to give out to the homeless in L.A. along with the 400 pairs of socks the entire school collected during its Red Ribbon week. Students and teachers from each class enjoyed the event and the young students learned a very special lesson: “To Give Care” to the needy.
Campaign for Care was founded by Stacy Tuttle and her young 10-year-old son Andrew in March 2004, its objective is to provide warm care and comfort to the homeless in L.A. and since then Stacy, her sons and many volunteers have worked together to realize its goal.
